For cigarette filters of the usual size with a filter diameter, as a rule, about 8 mm, it was determined that the holes 6 having a diameter of about 1/2 mm, the holes 7 with a diameter of 1/2 mm and the holes 8 with a diameter of 3/8 mm quite well provide the necessary different values of pressure drop between the first, second and third ports 6.7, and 8, respectively. The advantage of the mutual arrangement of the various holes 6,7 and 8 is that a properly made filter reduces the resin concentration by ventilating while maintaining essentially the normal amount of pressure difference of the gas flow passing through the filter, therefore the force of the smoker during tightening is equal to the force at smoking a normal cigarette. As a rule, ventilation filters require a MeHbiiief force when pulling, which apparently does not satisfy the smoker when he pulls on the output end of a filter cigarette.
